The hotel was ideal and perfectly fine. It is located in a fascinating area close to popular sites like Wat Pho, Wat Arun, and Khao San Road. The staff were really helpful and friendly. We greatly enjoyed our stay here.

It's a shitty place! You literraly sleep next to the skytrain and the street noise is terrible. The receptionist is a nice guy but the owner is a pain in the ass. He gave us a totally different room than we had booked because he thought we wouldn't show up as we asked to cancel our reservation. So he just tried to get double money and gave us a very bad room instead! There are so much better options in that area, don't go there!

The room we had was brand-new and cheap with storage space, aircon. Location: the hotel was just off sites nearby, the centre and supermarkets.
Nothing, no complaints at all.

The staff here were incredibly friendly, the rooms were excellent value, brand-new, and had one single bed with exceptionally comfortable mattresses.

The staff here were so friendly, which unfortunately was the only plus point. So lovely in fact it is hard for me to write negative stuff as it is obvious a lot of work is being carried out on the place for a re-vamp and relaunch.
- The bathroom was dirty, even for a budget backpacker standards it was poor. - Cobwebs in the room (didn't bother me but something to be aware of) - When it rained, on the evening I stayed, room 4001 had a river of water pour into it from the fire exit, and an unrelated puddle under the bed. - Room rattled every time a car went by (didn't bother me as heavy sleeper but may bother others.) - The wifi didnt work and I had to sit on the stairs to steal the hotel next doors wifi. The guy did try to fix it but it didn't work and this was the main reason why I stayed - the free wifi, as had a lot of emails to catch up on. - Be aware the guesthouse still has the old name logo and signage which makes it difficult to find.

My stay at Al-Fatima was purely a stay of convenience as my home in Bangkok was flooded, it was a last minute booking & was rushed so did not really spend time looking. I booked into the guest house because it was close to the bts & was also a very reasonable price. I booked for 3 nights & extended for another 3 as I was happy with my stay. I was pleasantly surprised as it was what I wanted & more. The staff were very friendly & accommodating, the room was clean & facilities were good. You definitely get value for money all things considered.
It was a little loud as my room was on the side of the main road (Sukhumvit) but don't let that put you off as it quiets down at night. The bed was also quite hard but I think it was brand new so maybe needs to be slept in a number of times to soften up, the strange thing was that the plastic was left on the mattress which made it a bit slippery & uncomfortable but I got over it. All in all a good experience stay & would recommend to all.

The rooms at this place have a fantastic location, just a short walk to the BTS station and main streets, making it easy to catch the sky train.

We booked functional and brand-new room with fan, comfy beds and storage space. The location of the hotel was marvellous and fab, minutes from a supermarket and convenience stores. Set minutes from gardens and a rainforest, it was a plus.
There was nothing I didnt like!

very close to BTS skytrain
the nearest 7-11 is across the street, and crossing the street is not easy.

The Rainforest Guest House is a wonderful choice for senior travelers like myself. The hotel's location next to the thong lo sky train station made it extremely convenient for exploring the city. It was so easy to hop on and off the train, allowing me to visit various attractions without having to walk long distances. The nearby restaurants and cafes were also great for enjoying a leisurely meal or a cup of coffee.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the staff during my stay. It would have been nice if the children working there were more proactive in offering guidance and assistance to senior guests.

I switched from fan-room to aircon-room after the first night stay. For the extra $, you will get a TV, a small table, a powerful aircon. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and flexible. Room is clean. Hotel itself is quiet. WIFI is fast and free. Location of the hotel is ok. About 5-10 minutes to walk to Thong Lo BTS.
It is next to the main road, and BTS lines in the sky. So you hear the BTS running till mid night, and the vehicles noise all the time. No lift in the hotel. Fan rooms are at top level (4). And aircon rooms are at lower floors.

Hotel staff was very nice and there was no problem with anything. We stayed there a few night and then left for a trip to the north and it was no problem to leave our bag there for a few days (then we spend a night in the hotel again). The room was small, but clean and for our stay enaugh.
The windows are to very busy road, its needed to close the windows, but there is an aircondition, so its ok.
